Followup

The minute after the meeting

Leave every business conversation with the next step captured.

You did the hard part: you met the right person. Capture what mattered and the one next action before the card goes into a drawer, the promise slips, or the follow-up starts to feel awkward.

A short email will open so you can tell us which version you want. Launch offer: free trial, then a paid subscription. No permanent free tier.

What is really at risk

The card is safe. The opportunity is not.

A saved number does not preserve why the conversation mattered, what you promised or how to follow up without sounding like everyone else.

01

The opportunity goes cold.

You met the right person, but the card never became an action while the conversation was still relevant.

02

The promise gets forgotten.

The proposal, introduction or answer you said you would send is displaced by the next meeting.

03

The follow-up feels awkward.

Without the specific context, your message sounds generic or transactional—so it becomes easier not to send it.

A small, repeatable habit

From conversation to clear next step.

Followup keeps the workflow deliberately narrow so you can finish it before the context disappears.

01

Capture the person

Use a card photo, contact QR, phone contact, pasted text or manual entry.

02

Keep the context

Save what stood out, what was promised and why the conversation mattered.

03

Choose one next action

Add one clear follow-up and the day it should happen.

04

Close the loop

Complete it, record the outcome or move it to a better date.

Smaller than a CRM

Keep the follow-up. Skip the administration.

A full CRM is excellent when you need a shared pipeline. It is heavy when you simply need to remember one person and the next promise you own.

  • One open next step per person
  • Readable notes, outcomes and history
  • Local reminders and calendar handoff
  • Optional export to the workflow you already use
Contacts

Name and phone number, but no useful conversation context.

Notes

Useful detail, but separated from the person and the due date.

Calendar

A reminder, but no clear history of what happened next.

Followup

Person + context + one next action + outcome.

Capture it your way

Start with whatever you actually have.

Every route leads to one review, so you stay in control of what gets saved.

Business-card photo

Crop a card, read it locally on your device and correct the suggested fields.

Contact QR

Scan supported vCard, MECARD and direct contact details into the same review.

Phone contact

Choose an existing phone contact without editing the source address book record.

Paste text

Turn copied email signatures or contact text into fields you can check.

Manual entry

Use the short, predictable route when typing is fastest.

Your own card

Share one local vCard as a QR code or contact file when the conversation begins.

A clear data boundary

Your people's details stay out of our product analytics.

Core contacts, card content, meeting notes, actions and activity stay in local app storage unless you choose an external handoff. We collect analytics about many app actions and diagnostics, but not the names, contact details, card content, notes or follow-up text of the people you save.

  • No required cloud account
  • No cloud or AI service needed for card recognition
  • No automatic cloud backup or multi-device sync
  • Backups, exports and webhook handoffs remain user-controlled

Paid, with time to try it

Try the full follow-up workflow. Keep it only if it earns its place.

Followup has no permanent free tier. The app store shows the current trial duration, subscription price, billing period and renewal terms before you start.

Free trial

Use it after real conversations.

Capture a card or contact, keep the context, set the next action and see whether the habit fits your work.

Paid subscription

Continue when the trial ends.

Manage billing or cancellation through Apple or Google. Deleting the app does not cancel an active subscription.

Built for people who own the next step

For independent B2B work where conversations create value.

Consultants and implementers

Keep delivery work from swallowing the follow-up.

Capture the client, referral or partner context before the next workshop, support issue or build task takes over.

Fractional sales and business development

Leave every prospect or partner conversation with a decision.

Record what mattered and the next move without asking the whole team to adopt another system.

Clear answers

Before you join the waitlist.

Is Followup another CRM?

No. Followup is a small post-meeting workspace for the person, context and one next action. It can hand records to another system through CSV or a configured webhook, but it does not replace a sales pipeline or team CRM.

Does it scan business cards?

Yes. Followup can read a card photo on your device, detect supported contact QR codes and let you review the suggested fields before saving. You can also choose a phone contact, paste text or enter the person manually.

Is there a free version?

Followup is a paid product with a free trial, not a permanently free app. The Apple or Google purchase screen will show the current trial, price, billing period, renewal and cancellation terms before you start.

Where is my contact data stored?

Core contacts, notes, follow-ups, activity and My card are stored in the app on your device. There is no automatic cloud backup or multi-device sync. If you delete the app, clear its storage or lose the phone, your records may be lost unless you first create a usable backup or send them to another system.

What analytics does the app collect?

We collect product analytics about many app actions, sessions, purchases and diagnostics so we can understand and improve the workflow. We do not include the names, contact details, business-card content, meeting notes or follow-up text of the people you save in product analytics.

Will it remind me to follow up?

Yes. You can create a dated next action and optionally enable a local notification. You can also hand the action to your calendar for confirmation.

Is it available on iPhone and Android?

The app supports iOS and Android. Public release setup is still in progress, so you can join the waitlist for the platform you use.

Can I move my data into my existing system?

The paid app includes CSV export and user-triggered HTTPS webhook delivery. A webhook is a flexible handoff to a system or automation you configure, not a built-in native CRM integration.
